Tell us about your family?
My husband, Nick and I met in 2017 through showing horses and then started dating in 2019. I’m originally from Southern California so we dated long distance until we got married during the pandemic in 2020. We go to church at Church on the Rock Texarkana. We have a beautiful daughter named Audrey who was born in August of 2022 and 2 Australian Shepherds (Flynn & Ryder). Nick works in the commercial construction industry, he is also a real estate broker and real estate investor.
Why is FIT4MOM important to you?
Fit4Mom is important to me for so many reasons. Moving to a new town where you don’t know anyone can be very isolating. I’m so thankful for the genuine friendships I have made since joining the fit4mom community. I have always loved starting my day in the gym. Going to the gym every morning is not realistic for me as a stay at home mom. Fit4Mom has given me a place to go where I get to start my day off right with exercise & chatting with mom friends who are in the same season of life as me.
What do you remember about your first FIT4MOM class?
My first class was great! I remember being a little nervous as I didn’t know what to expect. I wasn’t sure if Audrey would sit in the stroller the whole time or not as she was only 6 or 7 months old. After my first class I wished I had started sooner! Everyone was so sweet and welcoming.
What was your childhood ambition?
In school I used to say I wanted to be a vet because I have always loved animals. But truthfully, for as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a mom. I’m so thankful that I get to focus all of my time and energy on my family. For me, there’s nothing more rewarding than that.
What are 3 of your favorite things?
Jesus, Traveling, & sitting on my back porch with my family
What is one of your 2023 goals for YOU this year?
A goal I have for myself for this year is to continue to grow in my faith & knowledge of the Bible.
What has being a mom taught you?
Being a mom has taught me so much I could make a list but it has definitely taught me to be prepared. It has also taught me to be flexible. I’m a planner and not having a plan really stresses me out. I thrive on a schedule. Sometimes with a baby that’s not the reality.
Advice for first time moms?
My advice to a first time mom would be that every phase is just a season. The good parts and bad. The hard parts of postpartum is just a season. Waking up every couple hours and being exhausted is just a season. Not being able to set your baby down or they’ll scream is just a season. Find comfort that it’s just a season of time. It will pass. It will get better. Try to find joy in the good and bad.
”To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven“ - Ecclesiastes 3:1

If someone was thinking about attending a FIT4MOM class or joining, what would you tell them?
I would tell them to absolutely do it! If you’re nervous about the workout one of the benefits to fit4mom is that they cater to your ability. Whether you’ve been working out for years, you’re not experienced in working out, pregnant or postpartum the workouts can be easily tailored to your needs! You can make it more challenging or less challenging depending on how you’re feeling. But the best part is the community and welcoming atmosphere.
